This year, 2019, the Drama Club is going to put on the play “Shrek The Musical JR”, and it is going to be fantastic!
LaBrumCast spoke to Mr. K, one of the head teachers of the drama club, and he said that he was very happy with the casting and that “The auditionees with the highest scores got to audition for the main roles."
"For the rest of the roles," Mr. K acknowledged "we had to narrow it down to who would play what [role] best.” When asked what his favorite scene is, he said it would have to be scene 5, "I Know It’s Today."
He also said it would be complicated to set it up, because all three Fiona's need to exit, enter, and sing all at one time in harmony.
LaBrumCast also spoke to 6th grader Jason Bermudez, who has the role of Donkey. When asked if he is happy with his role, Jason said, “Yes. It’s a big role and I’ve never had a role that big before. I’m also really excited to be this character because he is funny.”
His favorite thing about being Donkey is his personality. Jason would not want any other role than Donkey, as he is his favorite character.
