Philadelphia 76ers
I’m going to be honest the 76ers are really disappointing this season. At the beginning of the season they were expected to come out of the east as one of the strongest 1st seeds to ever come out of the east. But now over halfway through the season their the 6th seed and their two stars in the league are both injured and one (Ben Simmons) will be out indefinitely. So they are now expected to lose in the second round and be one of the biggest disappointments in NBA history similarly to the 2018 Oklahoma City Thunder. Mine you there is still a month left in the season, and with this if they're lucky they could possibly get the 3rd seed in the east but they would have to be the luckiest team alive. But most likely they will end up being either the 4th or the 5th seed. Well the one good thing for the 76ers is that they have been basically unbeatable at home and they are horrible match ups for other teams to face. But the biggest and worst problem that everyone knows about is their horrible away game record. Right now they have a 10-23 record. Which is one of the worst and if they don’t get the 4th seed there is a likely chance that they don’t even have 1 series in which they have 4 home games. Also just to make it worse the last 5th seed to win the NBA Finals was 1995 with the Hakeem Olajuwon led Houston Rockets.
Philadelphia Flyers
While the 76ers have been disappointing the Flyers have exceeded everyone's expectation. They went on a 8 or 9 game win streak that put them tied for first place in the division and third in the conference. This is a complete turn around from last season when they completely sucked and had given up to many points. But this season their defense has been great and also they have been able to score the points needed to jump up in the division. They could be real contenders in the coming season but this year we should all be excited about the turnaround they’ve made and how their almost a lock for the playoffs this year.
