NFC Divisional Round- Reported by Vinny Checchia
So, the first round of the playoffs has just ended meaning it is now the divisional round of the playoffs. Last week there were many upsets like the New England Patriots losing to the Tennessee Titans and The New Orleans Saints losing to the Minnesota Vikings, but there were also the predicted winners winning like the Houston Texans beat the Buffalo Bills and the Seattle Seahawks beating the Philadelphia Eagles. This week the matchups are the number 1 seed Baltimore Ravens versus the 6th seed Tennessee Titans and number 2 seed Chiefs versus number 4th seed Houston Texans, and on the NFC side the 1st seed the San Francisco 49ers versus 6th seed Minnesota Vikings and 2nd seed Green Bay Packers versus 5th seed Seattle Seahawks.
Minnesota Vikings @ San Firscoco 49ers Saturday 11th 4:35
This is the first NFC matchup is the divisional round is Minnesota Vikings @ San Firscoco 49ers Saturday 11th 4:35. Let’s start with the away team. The Minnesota Vikings are coming off an upset win over the Saints in an overtime thriller that had a controversial ending. What happened was the Vikings tight end had an almost offensive pass interference but was never called and ended up winning the game. The rest of their season has been up and down like their quarterback Kirk Cousins. Cousins has had an okay season, but the vikings entire team and skill was good enough to win games. On the other hand is the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers have had an amazing season in the competitive NFC West with the difficult Seattle Seahawks in their division. This team has talent all over the field, veterans, and some smart coaches. They have possible coach of the year Kyle Shanahan and DPOY and DROY Nick Bosa. This is gonna be a rough matchup through the entire game, with that being said, I believe that the Minnesota Vikings will win this game by 3 and control the game.
Seattle Seahawks @ Green Bay Packers Sunday 12th 6:40
The second NFC matchup is Seattle Seahawks @ Green Bay Packers Sunday 12th 6:40. This time we'll start with the Green Bay Packers. They’ve had a pretty good season with Hall of Fame quarterback Arron Rodgers, but the reason they’ve been at the top of the NFC is because of their weak division and their well rounded team. The team overall isn’t amazing at one position but it good at every position. On the other hand is the dominant Seattle Seahawks that also have a Hall of Fame quarterback Russell Wilson. Who is up for MVP and has lead the Seahawks to an amazing season competing with the dominant 49ers for the division title in the NFC West. But because they didn’t win the division they are forced to be a 5th seed. Other than Russell Wilson though they have dominant players mostly on the offensive side of the ball like Tyler Lockett, Chris Carson(who is injured), and DK Metcalf. While on the defensive side of the ball there is only two real playmakers. Making it so that the defense side of the ball isn’t that strong and can easily be manipulated by a great offensive player like Packers wide receiver Davante Adams. So with this being said I have the Green Bay Packers winning this game because they have a better overall team the Seattle Seahawks. Therefore the Packers will win this game by 7 in the last few seconds of the game.
So these are my predictions for the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs.
