Holly Jolly Thanksgiving???

Many people were saying that thanksgiving should not be a holiday, since Christmas is a much bigger holiday and that christmas should take its place in november! They say that thanksgiving really only celebrates 2 cultures while christmas celebrates many different cultures. One Facebook user said “Thanksgiving is a racist thing and it should be stopped.'' this post got 20,000 likes. So 20,000 people want thanksgiving to be stopped. “We know better than to teach our kids to respect 1 or 2 cultures” said one of the comments under the nasty thanksgiving post. Other people say to get rid of thanksgiving because of their love for christmas. “We need to have christmas earlier so we can still have money in their pockets,” said another commenter.So I guess you could say people want to get rid of thanksgiving and ask the columbus day protesters it's easier than you think to get rid of a holiday. I don’t know why people want to get rid of thanksgiving, it's one of my favorite holidays. I asked some people if Thanksgiving should be a holiday, here were their responses.

“Yes it is the one time of year friends and family get together to be thankful,” said Mrs.Gail

“That's stupit there two diffent things and not everyone who celebrates christmas celebrates Thanksgiving so getting rid of one and not the other is not fair,” said Nancey Fisk

“No not at all ,We need thanksgiving to be thankful for all that we have.” Said Mrs.Donna
