At Labrum, we have monthly rewards at the end of the month or beginning of the next month. During the month of December the monthly reward was “Movies and Popcorn.” At this monthly reward each classroom will be a different movie, consisting of Avengers: Endgame Mall Cop, and Jumanji. Later, Endgame was taken out because too many 8th graders did not bring a signed permission slip, and it was replaced by Mary Poppins.
Students who attended the monthly reward had the option to bring in their own blanket to use. Another thing is, students were allowed to wear any school appropriate holiday shirt the last day before break (same day as the rewards). Us at LaBrumCast decided to interview 3 people who attended the 8th grade only monthly reward to see if they liked it and which movie they saw.
At LabrumCast we asked each 8th grader three questions. We asked the questions of did you enjoy the monthly reward?; What movie did you see?; and Out of ten how much did you enjoy the movie?
The first person we interviewed was Mark Mullen. When we asked Mark, he said that he enjoyed it and had seen Jumanji. With the final question he responded, “I rate it a nine because I already saw it but there was snacks there.”
The second person we asked was Anthony Fletcher. When he was asked the first question he responded with, “Yes, because I enjoyed having a break from school work.” When asked the second question he said, “Mall cop,” that’s all he said. When we asked him the third question he said, “Oh ten it was funny and plus I got snacks.”
The third and final person we ask was Joshua Thompson. When we asked him the first question he said, “Yes, it was very fun.” Josh saw the movie Mall Cop and rates his experience 10/10, “it would be better if it had more snacks.” If you are an eighth grader, did you enjoy it? Why or why not?
